Baldwin Legal Group, PLLC (“Baldwin Legal Group,” “the firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at baldwinlegalgroup.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
Information you provide to us. When you fill out a form, request a consultation, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, the county or location of your matter, and any details you choose to share about your situation.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we may automatically collect limited technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We may use cookies and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or the tracking features of our customer relationship management software, for this purpose.
Clean Slate Check and Record Review
Our free Clean Slate Check asks about a past conviction or arrest, such as the type and class of offense, approximate dates, and whether the sentence is complete. Our Attorney Record Review asks for the information needed to request your Washington State Patrol criminal history record. We treat these answers as confidential information from a prospective client.
We use these answers only to evaluate your eligibility, respond to you, and handle any matter you hire us for. They are stored with our website form service and our client management software, and are seen only by Baldwin Legal Group attorneys and staff and the service providers who run those systems for us. We never sell them, never share them for marketing, and never send them to advertising or analytics services. Any website measurement tools we use record only that a page was visited or a form was completed, not your answers. If you ask us to delete your answers and we have not been hired, we will do so unless the law or our professional obligations require us to keep them.
Employer referrals
An employer may send us an applicant's name and phone number through our Fast Track referral form after confirming that the applicant agreed to be contacted. We use that information to contact the applicant once about the free check or the record review. The applicant, not the employer, is our client. We share an applicant's filing dates (petition filed, hearing set, order entered) with the referring employer only after the applicant gives written consent, and we never share the details of the case. An employer that pays a fee receives a receipt and nothing else from the file. The free check asks employer-referred applicants whether we may share those dates; that answer can be changed at any time by contacting us.
Your story
After you hire us, we may ask you to complete a guided questionnaire about your background and how your life has changed. Your answers go only to your attorneys at Baldwin Legal Group, are used to prepare documents for your case, and are not sent to our marketing or text-messaging systems. While you fill it out, your answers are saved in your own browser so you can come back; they are cleared from your device when you send them.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries and consultation requests, to provide and manage our legal services, to send you information you have requested, to operate and improve our website, to send appointment and case-related messages by text or email when you have asked us to, and to comply with our legal and professional obligations.
Text Messaging (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number and check the box consenting to receive text messages, we may send you text messages related to your inquiry, your consultation, and your matter, which may include confirmations, scheduling, and follow-up.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and you can reply HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving our legal services.
Mobile opt-in information and consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only as follows: with service providers who support our operations, such as website hosting, email, and customer support vendors, and only to the extent needed to perform those services; when required by law, regulation, or court order, or to protect our rights; and at your direction or with your consent.
As stated above, mobile opt-in information and consent are excluded from all sharing and are never provided to third parties.
